Getting Set Up: Your router & boosters

We have partnered with eero to make the setup experience with The One Broadband as quick and easy as possible. Your router and boosters will delivered to your home address by courier, at least 2-days before your fibre installation date. You’ll get a tracking reference and link in your order confirmation email.

Definitions:

• Modem or ONT: This the white box on the wall installed by our fibre installation partners.
• Gateway or router: the device you connect to the ONT and set up as your main WiFi router.
• Booster: the devices you use to add to your network to extend the WiFi coverage.

STEP 1: Download the App

• Download the eero app from www.eero.com/app, the Apple App Store, or Google Play.
• Ensure your mobile device is Bluetooth-enabled and runs iOS 15.0+ or Android 9.0+

Step 2: Create an Account

• Open the app, select “New to eero,” and log in using your Amazon account or create a new eero account using your email.
• Enter your phone number and email, accept the Terms of Service, and verify your account using the code sent to your phone.

Step 3: Connect the Gateway eero

• Connect your Gateway eero to the modem (ONT) using the provided Ethernet cable.
• Plug the eero into a power outlet; the status light will flash white.
• Tip: If you have ordered boosters and have multiple devices, it doesn’t matter which one you choose to set up as the gateway. Just leave the other eeros switched off until you get to Step 5.

Step 4: Set Up Your Network

• Follow the app instructions to locate your eero gateway and select its location (the room it’s in).
• Create and enter a network name (SSID), and password to complete the setup.
• Tip: Reuse your existing network name (SSID) and password to avoid reconnecting devices.

Step 5: Add Boosters (if applicable)

• In the eero app, tap the “+” button, select “Add eero Device,” and follow the prompts.
• If the app doesn’t find your eero, use the serial number for setup (on the base of the device)

Step 6: Connect Devices

• Connect your devices to the new eero network using the SSID and password you created.
• If reusing your old SSID and password, devices should reconnect automatically.

Step 7: Explore App Features

• Visit the Discover tab in the eero app for security and control features.
• You can access the full eero App user guide and the eero Secure guide in your MyAccount portal.
